January to May 2017

Winter Semester

During Winter Semester, I took General Chemistry, Plant Biology, Advanced German, and a New Testament class. It was definitely enough to keep me busy. Carli took a bunch of classes for her Early Childhood Education degree including: DAP Seminar, DAP Practicum, Early Childhood Integration Methods, Planning & Assessment in ECE, Content-Based Language Instruction, and Family School & Community Partnerships. As you can see, Carli was way busier than I was! She has just two semesters left and will graduate in April 2018.
I guess we're officially a poor married couple. Carli cut my hair for me!

We went to a few BYU Hockey games as well to support our cousin Chris who is on the team! Hockey is a lot of fun!

We hosted a little get together with everyone from the Vienna study abroad when Cindy came into town at the beginning of the semester. It was fun to be all together again.

We also had a fun time going to BYU basketball and volleyball games.

Carli turned 23 this year and following last year's tradition, I made her a dinosaur cake!

Carli is awesome! She became an interpreter for Bulgarian for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After she was hired, the Church had an event to show the new translation and interpretation facilities in the Church office building on Temple Square in Salt Lake City.

The Booth where they translate conference.

Carli and her Dad crossing the finish line at the Rex Lee 5k run.

Carli's parents and Grandma Udall came to town for the dancesport nationals competition. It was fun to have Grandma stay with us!

Carli got a new job working at an Elementary school and on her first day she came out to the car to drive home and found this. Thankfully they left a note and we got it all fixed.
The Friday before General Conference, we had our mission reunions. Instead of trying to make it to part of both of them, we decided to just go to our own.

We got tickets to see General Conference and attended the Saturday Morning session in the conference center.

The Easter Bunny came to our house and sent me on an egg hunt Sunday morning!

We like Cheese!

One Friday night, Carli and I bought some rootbeer and went down to Provo lake to play with the camera. This is one of the pictures we took.

With the summer coming and both of us working in different places, we invested in another set of wheels.

On Mother's day, we got to Skype with our missionary sisters! Christy in Spain and Lynsie in Oregon.

We took a spring Saturday to hike up to Bridal veil falls up Provo canyon. We brought food and had a little picnic with James, Miranda, Stephen and Nichole.

Finals week. Studying hard for Chemistry.

Pandas and People Concert: Colorado

Clint and I went to a concert in Colorado. Pandas and People. This was just a few weeks before the end of the semester. It was awesome to get away from Provo for the semester. We drove the first day to Vernal, Utah and went to the temple there and found this riverbank to camp on.

The next day we went to check out the dinosaur tracks.
We made tinfoil dinners in the fire and practiced our astrophotography skills. Clint recently got a DSLR and a tripod, so we were playing around with that.
In the morning it was freezing so we packed up camp and found a church with a picnic area to cook breakfast. We had pancakes, eggs, and bacon and it was delicious.

Clint has the force!

On our drive through the Rockeys, we saw a pack of goats, but they would only show us their butts.

Even though we did all that fun stuff that weekend, this is how 90% of our time was spent.
